The Music Aptitude Assessment will take place on Wednesday 5 October from 4:00pm. Potential students will be assessed on their understanding of music and performance ability as either vocalists or instrumentalists through workshopped activities.
These two popular schools in Essex assess Music Aptitude on performance and workshopped activities. We can help you prepare for these audition-style tests and interviews in a 1-to-1 Zoom lesson.
The Deanes School use an audition process on music aptitude according to one or more of the
following criteria:
i) He/she has tuition in a musical instrument
ii) He/she is a member of a school, Church or similar choir, or of a
Dance/Drama organisation
iii) He/she has had no formal training but would like to pursue the subject
further
iv) He/she has been successful in Music, Dance or Drama examinations
