Top Tips from our September Group Workshop for Music Scholarships & Aptitude Tests


It was a delight to work with so many talented young musicians at yesterday’s group workshop. We covered tests for a wide range of schools including Marylebone, Camden Girls, Chelsea Academy, Cardinal Vaughan and our local schools Kingsdale and Habderdashers.

Top tip for the Music Aptitude Test Texture Section from last night’s Music Scholarship group workshop:
Sing or hum the notes in the chord out loud when practising at home. This makes it easier to identify when it’s only 2 notes in a chord. Be aware of chords that contain octaves as this can often be a ‘hidden’ texture.
